PJ Nyman is an experienced professional in corporate campaigns and nonprofit management with a significant background in animal advocacy. Currently serving as the Corporate Campaigns Manager at Animal Justice since January 2025, PJ Nyman previously held multiple roles at Mercy For Animals, including Corporate Engagement Manager for Canada. Prior experience includes positions at Animal Place, where duties ranged from Interim Campaign Director to Canadian Campaign Coordinator, and various academic roles at York University, culminating in a position as Course Director and Lecturer. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Social & Political Thought from York University, a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Simon Fraser University, and training in social action from Training for Change.

Animal Justice
Animal Justice is Canada’s only national animal law advocacy organization. We believe that animals need lawyers, and our legal team works to protect animals from cruelty and neglect. Canada has some of the worst animal protection laws in the Western world, and our mission is to overhaul the legal system to better reflect our country’s values of compassion and justice for all. Whether animals are used for food, fashion, experiments, entertainment, or in the pet trade, our lawyers fight for the legal protections that these animals desperately need and deserve.
