Edward Schettino has extensive work experience in the veterinary field, with a focus on animal welfare and veterinary services. Edward is currently serving as the President & CEO of the Animal Rescue League of Boston since May 2020. Prior to this, they held positions as the Vice President of Animal Welfare and Veterinary Services and the Director of Veterinary Medical Services at the same organization.

Edward began their education at North Carolina State University from 1986 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology with a focus on Microbiology. Edward then pursued further studies at New York University from 1990 to 1997, where they obtained a PhD and MS in Basic Medical Sciences. During their time at New York University, their research focused on Molecular Oncology and Immunology.
Following this, Edward attended Tufts University from 1997 to 2001, where they earned their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, specializing in Veterinary Medicine. In 2008, they participated in the North American Veterinary Conference Post Graduate Institute, specializing in Feline Medicine.
In 2010, Edward enrolled at Clark University's Graduate School of Management and completed their Master of Business Administration degree in 2013. Edward'sstudies at Clark University enhanced their knowledge and skills in business management.
