Rachel Bhageerutty

Rachel Bhageerutty has extensive experience in strategic communications and brand management. Rachel has served as the Global Director of Strategic Communications for Animals Asia since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Communications for Brooke, Action For Working Horses and Donkeys from 2014 to 2023, where they also held the role of Head of Brand, Media, and PR from 2013 to 2014. Rachel also has experience in the non-profit sector, having worked as the Head of Brand and Internal Communications for The Stroke Association from 2011 to 2013. Before that, they served as the Group Communication Manager for Notting Hill Housing Group from 2005 to 2011 and as the Communication Manager for Habinteg Housing from 2003 to 2005.

Rachel Bhageerutty studied at the University of Birmingham, London College of Communication, where they obtained a BSc and postgraduate qualifications in the fields of communication, branding, marketing, CSR, and cultural studies. Rachel also completed an MA at the same institution.
