Chris Fitzgerald

Chris Fitzgerald, CAWA, currently serves as Chief Product Officer at Animals First, focusing on data solutions, client support, and software development for the shelter and rescue industry. Previously, Chris was an ex officio Board member at Verona Street Animal Society, contributing to strategic planning and fundraising efforts. Chris also held the position of Director of Animal Services at the City of Rochester, overseeing community-focused animal services and implementing various outreach programs. Early experience includes roles as a Laboratory Instructor and Adjunct Instructor in ecology, as well as research positions at The University of Georgia and University of Arizona. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Wildlife Ecology and Management from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources from Cornell University.
