Steven Byington

Steven Byington has over 12 years of work experience in the software engineering and design industries. In 2021, they began their current role as Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Animoto. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Nike as a Full Stack Engineer, where they lead the development of a department wide internal component style guide and architected and developed a proof of concept for a new application. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Software Developer at DiscoverOrg, where they reduced code repetition by bringing in shared components to a core UI library and integrated the application with Babel. Steven also held roles as a Software Developer at Catalyst DevWorks (formerly Catalyst IT Services) from 2015 to 2016, Consultant - Software Engineer at Renovate America from 2016 to 2017, and Consultant - Software Engineer at HealthSparq from 2015 to 2016. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Marketing Assistant at Putinbay.com LLC, where they were a front-end developer, created graphics for the company website and printed catalog, and designed logos for resorts and businesses. From 2009 to 2013, they were a Graphic Designer at Exhibit Impact, where they redesigned packages, logos, and exhibits for a locally-owned startup, created graphics for the company website and printed catalog, and created promotional videos for the company. Lastly, from 2008 to 2009, they were a Videographer at Allen Film & Video, Ltd.

Steven Byington obtained a Bachelor of Science in Design and Visual Communications, General from Bowling Green State University between 2004 and 2013. In 2023, they became a Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from Scrum Inc. Steven also holds an edX Honor Code Certificate for Introduction to Computer Science.
