Paul Courell is the current CFO at Anine Bing. Prior to their current position, Paul held the role of Senior Vice President (SVP), Supply Chain at ARYZTA from January 2014 to December 2017.

At ARYZTA, Paul was responsible for operations including all Manufacturing, Logistics, Customer Service and Sales & Operations Planning. Paul reported directly to the Chief Operating Officer and managed a team of 10, which indirectly supervised an organization of 6,500 people - 750 of which were exempt employees. The Supply Chain had an annual spend of $1.5B and a $70M capital budget.

During their time at ARYZTA, Paul made significant contributions to the company including spearheading a project to review overhead costs which ultimately reduced costs by $20M annually. Paul also acquired and integrated two manufacturing locations, adding $500M in annual revenue, and rationalized two manufacturing locations which improved annual EBITDA by $4M.

In addition, Paul coordinated a $65M project to commission a 200k sq. ft. facility - increasing production capacity by 20% while streamlining the manufacturing process. Paul also introduced a standard weekly KPI report by production line with a supporting web-based dashboard that significantly improved performance.

Under Paul’s leadership, the company saw significant improvements in quality thanks to a new solution and process that they designed and implemented - resulting in a 20% improvement in quality. Paul also oversaw 10+ audits, both internal and external, including customers, food safety and government agency audits.

Paul Courell has a Masters of Accountancy from University College Dublin, an Associate Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, and a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin.

Paul Courell reports to Nico Bing, CEO. Paul Courell works with Steve Herrmann - CEO, Germany, Olivia Gentin - COO, and Annika Meller - Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer.
