Desiree' York

Desiree' York is a versatile professional with extensive experience in executive assistance, program coordination, and creative direction within various organizations. Currently serving as an Executive Assistant at Anixter Center since November 2022, Desiree' supports mental health counseling and disability services. As a Social Justice Instigator with the Los Angeles Female Playwrights Initiative since September 2017, Desiree' advocates for equitable representation of women+ playwrights. Previous roles include Assistant to the CEO at Auditorium Theatre, Teaching Artist at WriteGirl, and theater operations roles at Segerstrom Center for the Arts and California State University Fullerton. Desiree' has also held executive administrative positions at Lancaster Theological Seminary and Atlantic Conference Brethren In Christ Church, demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts & Women's Studies from California State University, Fullerton, and current pursuit of a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at National Louis University.
