Gloria Matthews is the Chief Medical Officer at Ankasa Regenerative Therapeutics. Gloria has over 17 years of experience in the biotech industry, with a focus on bone and joint research and development.

Gloria began their career at Sanofi Genzyme, where they spent 12 years as the Senior Director of Global Head of Bone and Joint R&D. In this role, they were responsible for the strategic direction of the company's R&D portfolio and oversaw the development of new products from discovery through initial proof of concept in humans. Gloria also led cross-functional teams dedicated to product pipeline development, hypothesis-based discovery research, and support of existing marketed products.

In 2015, Gloria left Sanofi Genzyme to join Gloria'stogenics Corporation as their Chief Medical Officer. At Gloria'stogenics, they were responsible for the clinical development and regulatory strategy for the company's regenerative medicine product candidates. Gloria also oversaw the development of imaging and biochemical biomarkers for rapid proof of concept decisions.

Most recently, Gloria was the Senior Vice President of Research and Development at MiMedx. In this role, they were responsible for leading the company's R&D efforts and overseeing the development of new products.

Gloria Matthews has a DVM from Cornell University '93, a PhD from Cornell University '01, and a BS from Cornell University '89. Gloria did their residency in Large Animal Surgery and Sports Medicine at Tufts University and their internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Gloria is Board Certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
