Brent Whipps

Brent Whipps has a strong background in education and coaching. Brent started their career in 2004 at Moulton Middle School as a teacher and stayed there until 2012. During this time, they gained experience in teaching and classroom management. In 2012, they moved to Edmunds Elementary as a 5th Grade Classroom Teacher before joining the Ankeny Community School District in 2012 as the Head Coach of the 10th Grade Baseball team. In 2013, they joined Des Moines Public Schools as a Middle School Wrestling Coach and an 8th Grade Pre-Algebra Teacher. Overall, Brent has a diverse range of experience in both teaching and coaching roles.

Brent Whipps completed their education with a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Drake University, which they pursued from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended the University of Northern Iowa from 1998 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a Middle School Endorsement.
