Ritu Verma

Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Ankur Capital

Ritu Verma is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Ankur Capital, a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage companies in India and South East Asia. Prior to Ankur Capital, Ritu was a Board Member at Agricultural Labs, a startup that provides laboratory testing services for the agriculture industry. Ritu has also served on the Board of Directors for TESSOL Thermal Energy Service Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a renewable energy company, and Niramai, a machine learning startup that uses thermal imaging for breast cancer detection.

Ritu started their career as a marketing strategy consultant at Philips and later held the role of Director at Truven, a healthcare analytics company. In 2007, they co-founded BigHaat, an online marketplace for farmers in India, which was acquired by CropIn Technology in 2015. Ritu holds an MBA from Stanford University.

Ritu Verma has a PhD in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania. Ritu also has an MBA from INSEAD. Ritu has a B.A. in Physics from Middlebury College and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
