John Shepherd

John Shepherd is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector and investment management. Currently serving as Senior Managing Director in Restructuring & Transformation at Ankura since February 2021, John has a strong background in corporate restructuring, risk management, and business transformation. Prior to this role, John held positions such as Partner at Integris Energy Partners and Senior Vice President, Head of Water Infrastructure at Select Energy Services. John also served as Managing Partner at both Strata Energy Investments II and Strata Energy Investments, LP, focusing on energy infrastructure investments. Earlier in John's career, significant responsibilities included Managing Director at GE Capital, overseeing private and structured equity investing in Energy Infrastructure, and Investment Banker at Morgan Stanley, specializing in Oil & Gas and related sectors. John holds an MBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the same institution.
