Raymond Hess

Raymond Hess is an experienced transportation professional currently serving as the Manager of Project Management and Delivery at the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority since June 2024. Prior experience includes the role of Transportation Manager for the City of Ann Arbor and Director of Planning Services for the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing significant transportation initiatives, securing federal funding, and enhancing regional planning compliance. Additional roles include Senior Transportation Planner and Transportation Planner for the City of Bloomington, IN, and Redevelopment Coordinator for the City of Brooksville, FL. Raymond Hess also has experience as a Peace Corps Volunteer contributing to cultural exchanges. Educational credentials include a Master’s in Public Affairs from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Policy from the University of Florida.
