Ioana Constantin-Bercean, PhD has a diverse work experience in various roles and fields. Starting in 2008, they worked as an English Language Teacher at Liviu Rebreanu Technological High School until 2010. From 2010 to 2013, they served as a Policy Adviser and Training Development Officer at GW International UAE, where they consulted with senior officials and led teams for policy analyses and legislative drafting. In 2013, they joined Cirsa Corp. as a Policy Adviser and Qualitative Officer, engaging in consultation, issue anticipation, and analytical leadership. Ioana then moved on to work at the Faculty of European Studies as an International Relations Researcher and Analyst from 2015. In 2017, they became a Project Manager at Amursk. Ioana later worked as an Analyst at Fipra from February 2019 until November 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Executive Head of Network at Anna Lindh Foundation, starting from October 2019. In addition, they are also a Scientific Researcher at the "Ion I.C. Brătianu" Institute of Political Science and International Relations, Romanian Academy, starting from December 2018.

Ioana Constantin-Bercean, PhD, has an extensive education history. Ioana pursued their Bachelor's degree in International Relations and European Studies at the Universitatea "Babeș-Bolyai" din Cluj-Napoca from 2012 to 2015. Following that, they completed two Master's degrees, one in Transatlantic Studies at the same university from 2015 to 2017, and another in Security Studies and Classified Information Analysis at the University of Bucharest during the same period.

Continuing their academic journey, Ioana Constantin-Bercean focused on their PhD studies. Ioana began their doctoral studies in International Relations and Iranian Studies at the Universitatea "Babeș-Bolyai" din Cluj-Napoca in 2017, which lasted until 2021. Simultaneously, they pursued a PhD candidacy in Sociology at the University of Bucharest from 2018 to 2021.

To further complement their academic background, Constantin-Bercean engaged in several specialized programs. Ioana participated in the XSeries Program in Religion/Religious Studies at Harvard University in 2018 and 2019. Additionally, in 2019 and 2020, they completed the BAx2 program, also focused on Religion/Religious Studies, at Harvard University.

Constantin-Bercean also expanded their knowledge in specific fields through short courses. In 2020, they pursued a short course in Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament at the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation.

Lastly, in 2018 and 2019, Constantin-Bercean engaged with the Hudson Institute to enhance their expertise in International Relations and National Security Studies.
