James Aylett

Chief Data Officer at Annalect

James Aylett is the current Chief Data Officer at Annalect. James has also previously worked as the CTO at NSFWCORP, and the Founder & CTO at Artfinder. Additionally, they have also worked as a Principal Consultant at Kittens with Jetpacks.

James has always been interested in technology and its impact on society. James studied Computer Science at the University of York, UK. After graduating, they worked as a Principal Consultant at Kittens with Jetpacks, where they advised clients on technology strategy. In 2010, they co-founded Artfinder, an online marketplace for art. James served as the company's CTO until it was acquired by Sotheby's in 2012.

In 2012, James became the CTO of NSFWCORP, a digital media company that was later acquired by Pando Daily. James continues to advise the executive team on technology strategy. In their current role as Chief Data Officer at Annalect, James is responsible for leading the data team and developing data-driven insights to help drive marketing decisions.

James Aylett has a MA in Maths from Clare College and a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from The Open University. James also has a certification from The Institute of Directors in Certificate in Company Direction and another certification from Open Data Institute in Data Ethics Professional / Data Ethics Facilitator.

They work with Steve Tobengauz - Global COO & CFO, Art Schram - Chief Product Officer, and Anna Nicanorova - Chief Technology Officer. James Aylett reports to Slavi Samardzija, CEO, Global.
