David Hong

David Hong has extensive work experience in the legal field. David is currently the Global Head of Legal & Compliance at Annata since 2022. Before that, they worked as the Head of Legal at Food Market Hub from 2020 to 2022. From 2020 to 2020, they were a Legal Counsel (Global) at Novotech, where they handled drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of agreements. Prior to that, David worked as a Legal Counsel at Alibaba Group in 2019, where they managed the intellectual property, personal data protection, product regulatory, and corporate functions for Lazada Malaysia. David also served as a Legal Manager at Pintas IP Group from 2015 to 2019, handling various legal matters. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Legal Associate at Raslan Loong, where they assisted in litigation, conveyancing, and corporate matters. David also has experience in sales and market research roles. David was a Senior Sales Assistant at CeX Webuy.com in 2012 and a Market Researcher at Acritas in 2012. David started their career as a Teaching Assistant at ENOPI Maths and English Learning Centre in 2008 and an Administrative Assistant at Low & Lee Advocates & Solicitors in 2006.

David Hong has a Master's Degree in International Commercial Law from Northumbria University, which they earned from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed the Bar Professional Training Course at Northumbria University from 2010 to 2011. David also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Northumbria University, obtained from 2009 to 2010. Additionally, they received a Bachelor's Degree in Law from HELP University from 2008 to 2009. David Hong completed their high school education at SMK Sultan Abdul Samad from 2001 to 2005.
