Damita McDonald is a lifelong learner, booklover, and proud resident of Anne Arundel County. She is passionate about giving back to her community. She has been an adult literacy tutor, community theater volunteer, crisis line counselor, and speakers bureau presenter for local organizations. In Anne Arundel County and Baltimore, she has also served as a chief election judge on Election Day.
She has dedicated 20 years to storytelling, public relations, and marketing as an innovative communications leader in higher education institutions and nonprofit organizations. She currently serves as senior director for university communications & public relations at Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore.
Damita holds a master's degree in communications, a Master of Public Administration, and a graduate certificate in public policy from North Carolina State University. She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University.
She is a resident of Severn.
