Skip Auld

Skip Auld is the current CEO of Anne Arundel County Public Library. Skip has held various positions at different libraries throughout their career. Skip started as an English teacher in Iran for the Peace Corps from January 1973 to December 1974. Skip then became a branch manager at Charlotte Mecklenburg Library from January 1978 to December 1989. In 1990, they took on the role of assistant director at Carroll County Public Library and held that position until 1995 when they became the director of Durham County Library, a position they held until 2010. In 2006, they became the CEO of Anne Arundel County Public Library.

Skip Auld has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Davidson College, a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is a Certified Public Manager from Virginia Commonwealth University.
