Timothy J. Curtin

Physician at Anne Arundel Dermatology

Dr. Timothy Curtin is a native Washingtonian and after receiving a B.S. from the University of Notre Dame, he attended Georgetown University School of Medicine. After an internship in internal medicine, he completed a dermatology residency, both at Bethesda Naval Hospital. Dr. Curtin completed an over 20 year career in the Navy with assignments with Naval Medicine supporting the US Marines in Okinawa and the midshipmen at the United States Naval Academy. He then provided dermatology support to the Navy air, submarine and surface fleets at New London Ct, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach VA Naval bases.

Dr. Curtin was then selected as Chairman, Department of Dermatology at Bethesda Naval Hospital, where he also served as the associate residency program director. His duties included being the Dermatology Consultant to the White House, U.S. Congress, and the Supreme Court.

Dr. Curtin has published dermatology articles as well as giving presentations at multiple dermatology meetings. He was also elected to serve as president of the Association of Military Dermatologists.

Since retiring from active duty, he has been in private practice in Montgomery County for over 10 years. Dr. Curtin has been active in skin cancer screening programs in the area as well as the screening events for the local PGA tournaments, the Washington Nationals and the Baltimore Orioles. He is a member of the AMA, the DC Dermatology Society and the Montgomery County Medical Society.
