Co Editor For Ann Revs Of Environment And Resources at Annual Reviews

Ashok Gadgil is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus in Civil and Environmental Engineering at UC Berkeley and has served as a Co-Editor for the Annual Reviews of Environment and Resources since 2004. With extensive experience at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from 1988 until July 2023, including roles as Faculty Senior Scientist and Area Deputy for Science and Technology, Ashok Gadgil has made significant contributions to environmental research. Additionally, Ashok Gadgil co-edited the Development Engineering journal from 2014 to 2019, focusing on engineering solutions to poverty. As the founder and former Chair of Potential Energ, Ashok Gadgil played a pivotal role in the development of sustainable energy solutions. Involvement with the Lemelson Foundation's Advisory Committee and as Senior Science Advisor at WaterHealth International further demonstrates a commitment to addressing global challenges. Educational achievements include a Ph.D. in Physics from UC Berkeley and degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and the University of Mumbai.
