Martha Benco has extensive editorial experience, currently serving as both a Copyeditor and Production Editor at Annual Reviews since May 2007, where responsibilities include overseeing the production and publication of three academic journals. Prior to this role, Martha conducted literary research at Carlyle House Museum, focusing on Thomas Carlyle's contributions to the English language, and worked as an Associate Editor for Berkeley Fiction Review, evaluating and editing short story manuscripts. Additionally, Martha was an Editorial/Research Assistant at the Oral History Research Office of Columbia University, where editing, fact-checking, and project coordination were key responsibilities. Martha holds a Master’s degree in Modern English Language from UCL and a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of California, Berkeley.
