Joel Young

Joel Young has a diverse work experience in education and leadership roles. Joel started as a Social Studies Teacher at ISD 16 Spring Lake Park Schools in 1998 and progressed to roles including Dean of Students and Assistant Principal. Joel served as Assistant Principal at Shakopee Public Schools before becoming Assistant Principal at Faribault School District in 2019. Most recently, they took on the position of Principal at Anoka-Hennepin School District in 2022. Additionally, they held leadership roles at St. Philip's Lutheran Church and the Many Point Scout Camp.

Joel Young obtained a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies from St. Cloud State University in 1998. Joel then pursued a Master's in Education with a focus on Teaching & Learning from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, graduating in 2001. Joel later completed a K-12 Principal License in School Administration from the same institution in 2003.
