Clara has spent her career shaking up the status quo of marketing by merging the worlds of commercial and fine art and as a global leader in graphic design, her style ignites projects and people into action wherever she goes.
Clara trained at The Rhode Island School of Design and it’s there she found her tribe as well as her mantra: “more is more, and less is a bore”. It defines her exuberant, maximalist approach and has influenced everything she's done since.
Her first director role was at Creature in Seattle. It was there she realised the power of graphic design to positively effect economic and cultural change. By the time she left, after building the design department from scratch, more than half of the agencies’ revenue was coming from design-led projects.
Clara has since worked at Sid Lee in Amsterdam and has been recognised by The One Show, D&AD, Type Director’s Club, Webby Awards, Awwwards, Art Directors Club and Graphis. Clara has also been included in the Business Journals' 40 Under 40 for creative leadership in business.
And - in her spare time, balancing all this with bringing up her daughter - she owns and runs her own accessories company on the side.
