Steven McCown

Steven McCown is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in security and decentralized identity solutions. As Chief Architect at Anonyome Labs, Inc. since October 2016, Steven has led R&D efforts focusing on encrypted messaging, identity management, and blockchain technologies. In addition to serving as a Commissioner on the Utah Privacy Commission, appointed by Governor Spencer J. Cox, Steven is an influential member of the steering committees for both the Decentralized Identity Foundation and the Trust Over IP Foundation, where contributions are directed toward advancing digital identity governance and standards. As President and Founder of TekStarts, Steven provides expert consulting in technology strategy and development, while previous roles include CEO/CTO of RFinity Corporation, which developed innovative mobile payment systems. Steven holds a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.
