Benjamin Shear

Benjamin Shear is an experienced operations coordinator currently working at Another Planet Entertainment since May 2021, focusing on venue and festival operations, including gate design, crowd flow, credentials, and community engagement. Previously, Benjamin held various roles such as House Manager for festivals, Rooming Assistant at Backroads, Talent Coordinator at Penumbra, Inc., and Assistant to the Illinois Chapter at NIVA, where efforts included data collection and lobbying for venue funding. Additional experience includes managing school debate teams at Chicago Debates, revitalizing a library at a high school, tutoring at SAGA Innovations, and assisting in event production at Hideout Inn. Benjamin earned a degree in Comparative Literature from Northwestern University in 2017.
