Catherine Marquer is an experienced neuroscientist currently serving as the International Scientific Coordinator for Neurosciences at ANR, the French National Research Agency, since February 2024. Previously, Catherine held the position of Assistant Professor at Columbia University Medical Center from December 2012 to December 2022, contributing to research on the link between lipid metabolism, endolysosomal trafficking, and Alzheimer's disease. Earlier roles included Associate Research Scientist and Post-doctoral fellow at CNRS, where Catherine managed a project on cholesterol's role in Alzheimer's and utilized advanced microscopy techniques. Additional experience as a Visiting Post-doctoral researcher at The University of Chicago focused on the impact of cholesterol on axonal transport of APP. Catherine's academic foundation includes a PhD from the Commissariat à l'énergie atomique and a Magistère in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Ecole normale supérieure.
