Guia Carrara

Guia Carrara is currently the Deputy Head of Basic Research Department at ANRS, a national research agency focusing on AIDS, hepatitis, and emerging infectious diseases. Prior to this role, Guia worked as a Chargée de mission at INSERM and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge on a project related to oncology. With a strong background in virology and molecular biology, Carrara has a keen interest in vaccine research, emerging infectious diseases, and antimicrobial resistance. Guia holds a PhD in Virology from the University of Cambridge and has previous experience as a Research Assistant at a laboratory in Belgium. Their academic journey includes degrees in Biological Science, Molecular Biology, and Virology from various prestigious institutions.
