Tom Nilsson

Tom Nilsson is a Staff Software Engineer at Ansa Biotechnologies, Inc. since March 2023, with prior experience as a Founding Software Engineer at Mezli and Freelance Hardware Test Engineer at Impinj. At Impinj, Tom developed a custom WPF application for quality control of RFID readers. Between July 2016 and April 2021, Tom served as a Project Engineer at DMC Engineering, where custom software solutions were created under tight timelines and budgets, and led teams through the project lifecycle. Earlier roles included System Engineer at DMC Engineering and Advanced Development Engineer Intern at Cybex International. Tom began academic involvement as a Study Jam Leader and TA at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering was earned in 2016. Additionally, Tom studied at Heidelberg University in 2015.
