Patricia Sierra Sanchez

Patricia Sierra Sanchez has a diverse work experience, primarily in the field of combustion technology for industrial gas turbines. Patricia started their career as a PhD student and researcher at CERFACS, focusing on predicting turbulent two-phase flows. Patricia then worked as a visitor at the Technische Universität München, conducting a comparison study of two-phase flow prediction codes. Patricia also gained experience as a post-doctoral researcher at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they worked on simulations of shock-turbulence combustion interactions and shear coaxial injector flows. Patricia then joined Alstom Power - R&D - Operations and Emissions Group as a Combustor Development Engineer, where they continued to develop new technologies for combustion chambers. Currently, they are employed at Ansaldo Energia as a Team Lead Combustor Operation, where they are responsible for leading a team in optimizing the operation of combustion chambers in industrial gas turbines. Patricia Sierra Sanchez completed their education with a PhD in Energétique et Transfers from Toulouse INP, from the years 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Ing. Industriel with a specialization in Technologies Énergétiques from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, spanning from 2002 to 2008. Additionally, they obtained their Baccalaureat in the field of Scientifique-Technologique from Ntra. Sra. de Loreto, from 2000 to 2002.
