Newell Washburn is a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at Carnegie Mellon University. Prof. Washburn developed the HML algorithm with Prof. Poczos, Aditya Menon and their colleagues at CMU. He has published over 70 technical papers in areas ranging from high-performance adhesives to high-strength nanocomposites to biobased dispersants. Prof. Washburn is currently working with Ansatz AI’s first customers to implement the HML algorithm.
