Research Engineer at Ansatz Capital

Nicholas Musolino has worked in a variety of roles since 2005. From 2005 to 2006, they were a Writing Associate at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. From 2006 to 2012, they were a PhD Student at MIT, working in the Molecular Engineering Laboratory within the Department of Chemical Engineering. From 2012 to 2017, they were a Quantitative Developer at Tower Research Capital, where they maintained and expanded the firm's graph-based, reactive programming framework in C++ and led the two-person Historical Market Data team. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Quantitative Analyst at HBK Capital Management, where they analyzed U.S. equities execution performance for a statistical arbitrage group. Since 2019, they have been a Research Engineer at Ansatz Capital.

Nicholas Musolino obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Chemical Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in 2006. Nicholas then went on to pursue a M.S. in Chemical Engineering Practice from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2008. Nicholas completed their Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the same institute in 2012. In 2003, they obtained an Engineer-in-Training certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
