Fabrice Pirot

Fabrice Pirot is currently a member of the European Drug Shortages Formulary Working Party at the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM), Council of Europe, since December 2022, and an active member of the European Pharmacopoeia group on "Bacteriophages." Since May 2021, Fabrice Pirot has served on multiple committees at the ANSM, including the French Pharmacopoeia Committee for Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Radiopharmaceutical Substances, as well as for Biological Products and Innovative Therapies. As a Professor at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 since September 1997, Fabrice Pirot specializes in Pharmaceutical Galenics and also leads the Master's program in Drug Sciences while managing a unit for the preparation and control of hospital medications. Additionally, Fabrice Pirot is the team leader at the Laboratory of Tissue Biology and Therapeutic Engineering and previously co-directed research in the functions of the skin barrier. Academic qualifications include a doctorate from the University of California, San Francisco, and specialized pharmacy degrees from the Université de Franche-Comté and Université Paris XI.
