ANSO - Association of Naval Services Officers

ANSO, the Association of Naval Services Officers, is a 501c3 non-profit, non-partisan and all-inclusive professional development organization serving as the Hispanic/Latino Leader Resource Group (LRG) for all ranks and civilians of the United States Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine. Founded in 1981 by the first and only Secretary of the Navy of Hispanic descent, the Honorable Eduardo Hidalgo, it has supported the Sea Service Chiefs in the recruitment, retention and promotion of its members for over 40 years. The vision of Secretary Hidalgo was to have a Sea Service leadership corps, admirals and generals, master chiefs and sergeants major, that reflect the diverse face of our nation. As an organization, we seek to give our members the sense of belonging and familia in addition to the mentoring, network, and professional development tools they need in order to be successful while serving their nation.
