Nicolas Rasamimanana

Nicolas Rasamimanana is an experienced leader in technology and entrepreneurship, currently serving as the Managing Director of SimAI at Ansys since January 2024. Prior to this role, Nicolas co-founded and held the position of CEO at Extrality from July 2019 to January 2024, and participated as an EFPA2 Cohort Member at Entrepreneur First in 2019. With a background in startup mentorship as a self-employed consultant, Nicolas previously founded and led Phonotonic, a company focused on music creation through motion, from 2011 to 2018. Early career experiences include a research assistant role at IRCAM-Centre Pompidou, research positions at McGill University, and R&D Engineer at the National Institute of Audiovisual. Nicolas holds an Engineer's degree in Computer Science from Télécom Paris, a PhD in Acoustics, Signal Processing, and Computer Science Applied to Music from Pierre and Marie Curie University, and a Master's degree in Music Technology from the same institution, complemented by foundational training in violin and music theory.
