Wolfgang Bauer

Wolfgang Bauer is a seasoned professional in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Currently a Lecturer at Technische Universität Berlin since August 2014, Wolfgang specializes in CFD for propulsion systems and conducts research in flow simulation within motor technology at the Institut für Land- und Seeverkehr. With a long-standing career at Ansys since July 1998, Wolfgang serves as Senior Manager Application Engineering, leading a team of engineers in CFD simulation, providing customer support, engaging in business development, and collaborating with product development. Wolfgang holds a Doctorate in Gas Turbines and Aerospace Propulsion from Technische Universität Darmstadt, obtained between 1995 and 1998, as well as a Diplom-Ingenieur in General Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, completed in 1995. Additionally, Wolfgang spent a year at the University of Strathclyde as an Erasmus Exchange Student in Mechanical Engineering from 1993 to 1994.
