George Mathers

George Mathers has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. George began their career as a Senior Finance Manager at Digital Equipment Corporation in 1985. George then moved on to become a Group CFO at EAF Logistics in 1996. In 1998, Mathers joined PwC as an Operations Director and later became the CFO of Europe at USG in 2001.

In 2004, they became the European CFO at Husky Injection Molding Systems, providing financial support to manufacturing business units and the European Sales organization. George then joined SES ASTRA in 2005 as the VP of Financial Operations, where they served until 2010.

From 2011 to 2012, Mathers worked as the VP of Finance at Dematic, responsible for accounting, FP&A, and controlling. During their time at Dematic, they led the finance work stream for a $300 million bond placement.

In 2012, Mathers established Geolux Consulting, a consulting company, and also invested in Antal International. George later became the Senior Managing Partner at Antal International from 2013 to 2016. Since 2013, Mathers has been serving as the Managing Director of Geolux Consulting, an investment company.

George Mathers attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants from 1981 to 1984, where they earned a degree in Chartered Accountancy with a focus on Accountancy, Law, and Economics. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Abertay University from 1978 to 1981. In 2003, they obtained an Executive Education degree from the UK Open University, specializing in Business. In 1995, George acquired a Certificate of Executive Development in Executive Leadership from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management. Before their university studies, they completed a Business Administration diploma at Dundee Commercial College from 1976 to 1978. Additionally, George holds the Chartered Accountant certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).
