Antonio Ferrer Montiel

Born in Spain in 1965, Antonio Ferrer Montiel is a biochemist and businessman who has devoted their career to the study and development of pharmaceutical products. Antonio is the current president of AntalGenics, a position they have held since 2019.

Ferrer Montiel began their career as a research scientist at the University of California at San Diego, where they studied ion channels and botulinum neurotoxins. In 1995, they co-founded DIVERDRUGS, a pharmaceutical company specializing in the development of drugs to treat degenerative diseases. The company was acquired by Lubrizol in 2012.

In 2018, Ferrer Montiel became the director of the Institute for Molecular and Cellular Biology at the Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche. Antonio held this position until 2019, when they were appointed president of AntalGenics.

Antonio Ferrer Montiel is a Doctor in the field of Quimica, Bioquímica, Neurobiologia, and medicina from Universitat d'Alacant.
