Ian Watts

Ian Watts is an experienced thermofluids engineer currently working at Antares since May 2024. Previously, Ian served as a senior propulsion analyst at Ursa Major from February 2022 to May 2024, and before that was with SpaceX from June 2014 to August 2021, where roles included senior propulsion analysis engineer and propulsion analysis engineer II. Ian has extensive expertise in thermal, structural, and fluids modeling for liquid rocket engines, utilizing FEA software such as ANSYS and NASTRAN. Earlier experience includes a position as an engineering intern at Parametric Solutions, Inc. in 2013. Ian holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, obtained in 2015.
