Lemuel Galvao is a seasoned educator and community leader with extensive experience in both teaching and sports management. Since 1990, Lemuel has been a teacher at the Antelope Valley Union High School District, currently instructing World History and serving as Head Soccer Coach, while also advising various student clubs focused on community engagement. In 2011, Lemuel founded G-Com Services, aiming to enhance the quality of life in the Antelope Valley. As the Business Owner of Quickening Soccer LLC since 2017, Lemuel has provided a competitive platform for collegiate soccer players in the area through the So Cal Premier U23 league. Lemuel holds a Master's degree in Education and Curriculum from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Social Sciences from California State University, Northridge.

The Antelope Valley Union High School District (AVUHSD) includes eight traditional and three alternative high schools, SOAR -- an early college high school on the Antelope Valley College campus, the no-cost, charter Academy Prep Junior High, an online education program and Antelope Valley Adult Education. The district serves 23,000 students in the cities of Palmdale and Lancaster, and the surrounding area.
