Ruben Rodriguez possesses extensive experience in engineering and construction education, currently serving as the Lead Teacher for Engineering at Palmdale High School since 2009, where Ruben also coordinates the PHS Engineering Academy. Ruben has played a key role in establishing innovative programs, including co-authoring the proposal for the Falcon Academy of Sustainable Technologies. Prior to their current roles, Ruben taught engineering and construction technology within the Antelope Valley Union High School District since 1997 and held an adjunct instructor position at Antelope Valley College. Additionally, Ruben has a background in construction consulting, having worked with Rodriguez and Associates Inc. and Robert Ellis and Associates. Educational credentials include certifications and degrees from multiple institutions, including California State University, Long Beach, San Diego State University, San Jose State University, and Antelope Valley College.

The Antelope Valley Union High School District (AVUHSD) includes eight traditional and three alternative high schools, SOAR -- an early college high school on the Antelope Valley College campus, the no-cost, charter Academy Prep Junior High, an online education program and Antelope Valley Adult Education. The district serves 23,000 students in the cities of Palmdale and Lancaster, and the surrounding area.
