Thanh Yen Nguyen

Thanh Yen Nguyen is a highly experienced scientist with a solid background in process development and engineering. Since June 2018, Thanh has held various positions at Antheia, Inc., leading as a Senior Scientist and previously as Scientist III and II. Prior to this, Thanh worked at Amyris, contributing to strain screening processes and fermentation scale-up experiments, and played a crucial role in cross-functional project teams. Thanh's academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Riverside, culminating in research that advanced lignocellulosic biomass conversion techniques, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemical Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Thanh's earlier positions also include significant contributions as a Process Development Engineer at Marrone Bio Innovations and internships that focused on fermentation processes and engineering efficiencies.
