Joana Capote Soares

Joana Capote Soares is currently the Transaction & Finance Services Director for Spain & Portugal at Anthesis. Prior to their current role, Joana served as a Senior Manager at Ramboll from January 2019 to March 2020. In this role, they were responsible for leading and managing the Barcelona office. From January 2016 to January 2017, they served as the Manager for Spain & Portugal at Ramboll. During their time at Ramboll Environ from September 2007 to January 2015, Joana served as the Barcelona Office Manager. From December 2006 to September 2007, Joana worked as a Technical Advisor and Project Manager at SPES – Sociedade Portuguesa de Energia Solar. In this role, they were responsible for developing project proposals and setting up campaigns in the use of energy efficiency and renewable energies. Joana also collaborated in communication with the general public and partners and provided technical advice and support on national regulation and Portuguese energy policy regarding renewable energies. Prior to their work at SPES, Joana completed a European Voluntary Service from July 2005 to November 2006 at Voor Moeder Aarde – Lid van Friends of the Earth International. Joana also completed an internship researcher at Geodan - Geodan Systems & Research from January 2005 to December 2005. Her first professional role was as a Sales and Marketing representative at Y-Dreams - YDreams Environment & Quality of Life and YDreams Education & Culture from December 2004 to July 2005.

Joana Capote Soares has a Master Degree in Environmental parameters on the architectural and urban design from Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura de Barcelona. Joana is also an Environmental Engineer with a specialization in mathematics, physics, pollution and ecology, environmental management, environmental economy, etc. from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
