Erik Bal is an experienced Chief Engineer with a career spanning over two decades in the maritime industry. Currently serving as Chief Engineer at Anthony Veder Rederijzaken BV since June 2016, Erik previously held the position of Chief Engineer >3000 kW at Vroon Ship Management BV from December 1997 to June 2016, overseeing various onboard technologies, including propulsion systems and cargo handling. Prior experience includes roles as Maritime Officer 3 & 4 at Shell Tankers BV from August 1994 to November 1997, focusing on operational support and engine room maintenance. Erik Bal holds a Bachelor's degree in maritime sciences from the Maritime Institute "De Ruyter," complemented by education at the Middelbare School voor Scheepswerktuigkundigen.
