John Egan is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in product and growth engineering. Currently at Anthropic since January 2025, Egan previously served as Head of Product Engineering at Character.AI and held the position of Senior Director of Engineering - Rider at Lyft, where leadership of a team of approximately 120 engineers resulted in significant revenue growth and performance enhancements. Egan's tenure at Pinterest spanned from January 2015 to January 2022, culminating in the role of Head of Growth Engineering, overseeing a team of around 100 engineers to increase user engagement and advertiser base.
