Winnie Awa is the Founder and CEO of Carra, a hyper-personalisation platform that utilizes expert advice and machine learning to provide tailored haircare routines and recommendations, powered by the Textured Haircare Engine™. In addition to leading Carra, Winnie serves as the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Co-chair at the British Beauty Council and acts as an InnovateUK Mentor with Innovate UK KTN. As the Founder and CEO of Antidote Street, a global beauty marketplace for multicultural women, Winnie curates top brands for afro and multi-textured hair. Winnie is also a Partner at andVerv, a contemporary womenswear brand. Previous experiences include roles at LVMH, ASOS.com, NET-A-PORTER, Ernst & Young, and IBM Business Consulting Services, where important contributions were made to digital product management and technology consulting. Winnie holds a BSc Hons (1st) in Management and Information Technology from The University of Manchester and completed executive education at Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2015.
