John P. Miller

John P. Miller is an accomplished law enforcement professional currently serving as Police Captain and Division Commander of Field Services at Antioch Police Department since October 2024. Previously, John held the position of Chief of Police for the City of Winters from July 2016 to October 2024, during which time John contributed to various committees and boards, including the Yolo Community Correction Partnership and the California Police Chiefs Association. John’s extensive experience encompasses roles such as Police Officer in Fairfield, Police Commander in Pacific Grove, and Police Sergeant in Vallejo, complemented by a significant instructional background in law enforcement education. John holds an Executive Master of Public Administration from Golden Gate University, a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from California State University - East Bay, and multiple certifications from prestigious programs, including the FBI National Academy. John has also received numerous commendations for exemplary service, including the Medal of Valor and Medal of Merit.
