Jess Wreford

Director & Chief Creative Officer (CCO) at Antler Social

Jess Wreford has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. They began their career as a Barista and Waitress at Candy Twist in 2012. In 2014, they worked as a Social Media Manager and Front of House at The Juice Smith Limited. From 2015 to 2016, Jess was a Sports Nutrition Intern at Surrey Human Performance Institute, where they developed nutritional services and conducted health assessments.

In 2017, Jess became the Vice-President Support at the University of Surrey Students' Union, serving as a Director and Trustee of a not-for-profit charity with financial responsibility for a budget of approximately £300,000. They held this role until 2018.

In 2019, Jess founded their own small business called Moana Maroke, a travel and surf brand inspired by their 6-week adventure in New Zealand. They launched their first product, the throwbie®, in July 2019.

Jess also worked at Eurofins County Pathology Ltd, where they held multiple roles. From 2012 to 2019, they served as a Medical Laboratory Assistant, assisting in patient reception and blood sample analysis. They were also involved in the design and re-branding of Eurofins County Pathology and acted as a line manager and mentor to incoming Medical Laboratory Assistants. From 2019 to 2021, Jess worked in client services, handling administrative tasks, maintaining relationships with clients, and ensuring excellent service. They also took on budgeting and financial responsibilities and assisted in the laboratory during busy periods.

In 2020, Jess started offering video editing and content creation services under the brand Jessica Does. They utilized their skills in video editing, ideation, and content creation to support brands and businesses. They also utilized their Instagram platform, @jessicadoeslife, to produce engaging content for their audience.

From 2021 to 2022, Jess worked at Thursday, first as a Digital Creative Lead, creating content, and later as the Brand Partnerships Lead, facilitating brand partnerships.

Currently, Jess works at Antler Social as the Director and Chief Creative Officer (CCO), a role they have held since March 2023.

Jess Wreford completed their education history with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nutrition from the University of Surrey, which they attended from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their A levels in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Photography at Farnham College from 2011 to 2013. Jess began their educational journey at Weydon School, where they obtained their GCSE qualification from 2006 to 2011.
