Dieter Hauwaerts

Dieter Hauwaerts is a seasoned professional in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries with extensive experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, and operations. Currently serving as the ATMP GMP Factory Architect and Co-Founder at Antleron since November 2014, Dieter is also the Managing Director of Eliri bvba since September 2016. Previous roles include Vice President of Quality at Prothya Biosolutions from May 2017 to February 2023, where Dieter led quality functions, and Vice President of Operations at Celyad from January 2015 to May 2017, overseeing process development and manufacturing activities. Earlier, Dieter held various leadership positions at TiGenix, including Director of Manufacturing, where responsibilities included managing outsourced manufacturing and the development of new strategies. Dieter’s career began at Janssen Pharmaceutica, which included significant roles in production and laboratory management. Educational background includes studies at KU Leuven from 1991 to 1996 and JVR from 1985 to 1991.
