Mauricio Larrain

Mauricio Larrain has extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as VP Planning and Technical Services, VP Northern Operations, and General Manager (CEO) at Antofagasta Minerals since April 2017, overseeing significant operations including Minera Los Pelambres. Prior to this role, Larrain spent two decades at CODELCO, advancing through various positions including General Manager and Deputy General Manager of Operations, where responsibilities encompassed the El Teniente operations and mine development initiatives. Education includes a BSc in Mining - Civil Engineering from Universidad de Chile, an MSc in Mineral Economics from Curtin University, a postgraduate degree in Project Management from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and ongoing postgraduate studies in Business Management at Universidad de Chile.
