David Bierman

Co-founder, Chief Commercial Officer at Antora Energy

David Bierman has had a varied and impressive career in the engineering field. David began their career in 2008 as a Project Intern for McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., working on the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. In 2010, they joined Arup as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, developing energy models for large scale building projects and aiding the LEED accreditation process. In 2011, they became a Water and Power Engineer for Shoals Marine Laboratory, leading engineering teams on various infrastructural projects and designing and proposing a capacitor bank system. From 2012 to 2017, they were a Research Assistant in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In 2017, they founded Marigold Power, Inc. and also became an Entrepreneurial Fellow and Project Lead at Cyclotron Road. Most recently, in 2018, they became Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Antora Energy.

David Bierman obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2012. David then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2014. David continued their studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 2017.
