Roger Sonebäck has over three decades of work experience in various roles and positions. Roger started their career at Trigon Informatik AB as a Management Consultant and partner, where they worked for seven years. Roger then joined Astra Pharmaceuticals as a Business Relationship Manager before being promoted to Year 2000 Programme Director, where they headed the global and corporate program to ensure year 2000 preparedness for the Astra Group.
After their time at Astra Pharmaceuticals, Sonebäck joined AstraZeneca, where they held several positions with increasing responsibility. Roger started as the Head of Quality Management, leading a corporate team responsible for developing and introducing global and groupwide project management and service delivery models. Roger then became the IS Performance and Business Office Director, followed by the Compliance and Governance Manager.
Sonebäck was then appointed as the IS Quality and Security Director, where they headed a 30-person team to ensure quality and security in all IT deliveries within the department. Roger also led a program to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley regulations. Subsequently, they became the Planning and Portfolio Lead, responsible for managing a team of 10 people and overseeing the planning, prioritization, resourcing, and financial control of various portfolios and projects.
Sonebäck's next role at AstraZeneca was as the Sr Portfolio Manager, accountable for portfolio planning in an outsourced environment. Roger designed and established governance processes for their portfolios, which had an annual value of around 150 MUSD. Lastly, they worked as a Business Change Manager, where they were responsible for reducing the number of Corporate IT employees at the Södertälje site and managing a larger overall business cut in Södertälje.
Currently, Sonebäck is working as a Consulting Director at Antura AB in Stockholm.
Roger Sonebäck attended Tumba Gymnasium from 1981 to 1984. However, no specific degree or field of study is provided for this period. Later, from 1986 to 1989, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Informatics at Stockholm University.
